Donny Osmond–The Champ Simon and Garfunkel: They Can’t Help It

Have you ever went trolling through your record collection and come upon a song and ask yourself, How did “THAT” ever get on my IPOD? Well that is what happened to me when I looked at a list of the “wussiest & wimpiest ” songs in Rock Music history. How did my personal collection get so many of them? The cool thing is that exploring the list led me to some interesting back stories like how did the invention of Liquid Paper lead to the birth of MTV? What does Marvin Gaye have to do with the band, Spandau Ballet and thier only hit, “True”? Why did John Denver, an Airforce brat who grew up loving flight and planes write one of the most memorable songs about planes, loose his life in an air crash?

This episode showcases some of the wussiest and wimpiest songs in Pop Music History. So get your wussy-cushion and your wimpo-meter ready and have some fun as you laugh and listen to some of the songs that most people hate to admit to as guilty pleasures! Donny Osmond will thank you!

And just in case you really need to wimp-out, you can add these two from the Creamy Catalog!

The Monkees: Day Dream Believer
Simon and Garfunkle: Scarborough Fair

And don’t forget the Saturday Repeat at 2P

Every Summer we slip into our sandals, pick up the cold beer, kick back in our favorite pair of shorts and groove to the songs of summer. This episode showcases Songs of Summer with the music of Phoenix favorites Alice Cooper and the Zubia Brothers. While Alice Cooper and the Zubia Brothers cover the summer from “A to Z” in Arizona, you will also enjoy the music and summer back stories of, Sly and the Family Stone, Will Smith, Mungo Jerry, Shaggy and War!

Why did the babes of Bananarama think summer was too cruel? Was Billie Holiday the inspiration that made Motown possible? Were songsters Shelly King and Rickie Lee Jones, separated at musical birth? How did Kool and the Gang influence Will Smith’s summer?
